I seen something similar on pinterest and just loved the idea. You could also put this in a frame and it would look equally adorable. I decided to go with the crocheting round (anyone know the technical names for these?). Once I got my canvas fit into place I used a pencil to trace my husbands, mine, and then our daughter's hand. From that point I used thread and a needle to outline the hand prints (varying colors for each hand). I freehanded our last name and year.
This project was super cheap. I picked up the crocheting round at the thrift store for around a buck, found the canvas in the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby for around 2 dollars, and already had the thread on hand. So for $3 I have this piece of art that will be something i'll always cherish. :) LOVE!!
