Riya Sen was born in 24 January 1981 in Kolkata, India. She is the daughter of another beautiful actress Moon Moon Sen and sister of Bengali film actress model Raima Sen .
Riya Sen completed her secondary and higher secondary at Loreto House and Rani Birla Girls' College , both in Kolkata. she also studied at the National Institute of Fashion Technology as a fashion designer.In 1991 she started her acting career as a child actress in hindi film Vishkanya and Style is Her first success commercial movie in 2001.
