Decorating with yellow is suppose to be a mood lifter. I can see that it's a cheery and bright color. I have painted our master bedroom a mustard yellow before. I liked it for awhile but I did get tired of it eventually. I do decorate with yellow a bit in the living room. I have touches of yellow in a rug and pillow. I think it's a fun color for accessories but using it for full walls can be difficult because yellow tends to look different depending on what you place around it.
The same goes for clothes. I think yellow, especially a bright punchy yellow is a fun color for accessories. There are lots of cute tops with yellow in it as well. I don't find that I'm drawn to them as much though.
