The show is co-hosted by Writer/Director Angela Gomes, TV/Radio Host Rashan Ali, Radio Producer Nina Brown and Actress Jasmine Burke - four dynamic women with different opinions, experiences and backgrounds. Raucous roundtables dissect the latest in current events and pop culture, keeping the audience entertained and informed. Guest interviews dig deep and get personal by inviting guests to join in the discussions. Live performances from well-known and on-the-verge artists and comedians delight the audience.
Guests include New York Times Best-Selling Author and Blogger Denene Millner, Dr. Susana Morris and Dr. Robin Boylorn of the Crunk Feminist Collective, R&B singer Algebra Blessett, Comedian/Writer Myra J, Award-Winning Authors Steve Barnes and Tananarive Due, Comedian Robin Henry and Beer Blogger Ale Sharpton.
“We showcase the diversity that exists in the African-American community, but that we don’t always see reflected in popular media,” said Co-Host and Executive Producer Angela Gomes a self-declared Black Girl Nerd. “In addition to mainstream celebrities, we talk to the authors, artists, scholars and bloggers that not everyone knows about, but we think everyone should.” Ladies Night debuts online on Monday August 26, 2013 at LadiesNightTV.net.
