This summer, Basil and I had a summer romance. I loved it most as an herbaceous addition to my summer cocktails, mocktails, and as a tasty garnish to juicy tomatoes. As I was loving basil, the summer sun was having its way with your skin and mine. Hot weather can make your skin dry, flaky, and tough. As we transition into fall, the drier air can make matters worse. Using basil to create a hydrating and soothing body mask will boost your skin's circulation and give you an amazing glow. Pick, rinse and dry 35 to 40 fresh basil leaves and place them into a food processor or blender. Top with 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt and blend thoroughly (the lactic acid in the yogurt provides a gentle exfoliation). Jump into the shower or tub and apply the mask to your face.
