According to Shea Terra this should live up to a lot, get rid of dead skin, even skin tone, firm skin, and fight acne. Wow! Yeah, it dropped the ball.
When you first apply it (after you get past the fact that it looks like you are putting poo on your face) it is very firming, like a mask almost. I wasn't digging this feeling. I usually don't mind mask but the way this felt, it felt like the longer it stayed on the more my face became irritated.
It says to leave on 5-10 minutes for desired results. After the initial 10 minutes and then washing it off, my face did feel soft, I give it that. However, as soon as the water dried up from washing it off it became extremely dry. Like, i'm not just talking a little dry but suck the moisture out of my face, really dry. It doesn't claim to be a moisturizer so maybe this is natural.
It has a smell. It's not offensive but isn't all that great either.
I don't have extremely acne prone skin so whether it fought any I can't be certain.
The biggest pro about this cleanser is that it is 100% natural. It has some great ingredients that I wished it had worked better for me. Owell! I won't be purchasing full size but in case you are wondering full size will run you $18.
It has great reviews on Beauty Army but i'm going to give it a 2, and a 2 for the softness that I felt for a minute.
