Poms Poms and more Poms!

Hey there,

We've had the best weather here in Melbourne. I spent the weekend having not one but two BBQ's, it's good to be me!

Anyway enough bragging, since I know most of you are headed into the colder months, today I am showing the second last project from the babies room.

Tissue Poms

There is no tutorial because I found this pin from Design Dazzle and copied it exactly as she did.

I did however play around with the sizes and layers, the more layers the tighter the ball - see the difference between the green pom and the orange pom. I used 8 layers on the green and 16 on the orange. I wouldn't recommend any more than 16 it gets very tight.

While I was in the middle of making these, I was chatting online to my friend Danni from Silo Hill Farm and asked if she had made them, and she had, she used an easier method of cutting which I will be using next time, check that out here.

Then I popped them on the ceiling, the babies love them!

I placed 3 over each of the kids cots

I used 4 to surround the light, I'm using these instead of replacing the light. I haven't found a reasonably priced option and since I know this room will be in use for only a couple of years I don't want to spend a lot.

DIY Delight or Disaster? Cute, cheap, easy - This is a great beginner craft it adds lots of bang for your buck I say Delight! One project left, before the big reveal.
