Black in decorating is one of those colors that can help pull together your whole theme. Think Hollywood Glam! You see a lot of interior designers using black chalk paint in all sorts of designs here lately and I love that look too. It also looks good in big and bold prints like the chair and shower curtain below. It makes for a dramatic and sexy pop.
I think black in fashion and beauty is a given. The little black dress will never go out of style. You will always have the hot smoky eye or long black lashes.

I honestly don't decorate with a lot of black. I use browns for my base color for the most part. I do love to wear a cute black top or dress, despite having a white dog who drives me insane. ;)
