As a self-professed blerd, a black nerd, Dixon hopes to share her experiences as an African-American woman working in the technology industry with others who weren't lucky enough to be selected as one of the Glass Explorers. In addition, Dixon plans to innovate with Glass by creating a mobile application that will operate as a virtual personal assistant. The new application would save time and lower stress for traveling workers juggling a full calendar. Any funds contributed over the purchase price for Glass will be used to finance the mobile application development. "I'm very excited about this opportunity and hope that the community will help support making it happen," says Dixon. "A very limited number of people were given this chance, so I want to make sure to do something worthwhile with mine."
