SIGHT: The Far Sight Trilogy

Are you done with the Blerd Book Club selection and ready to move onto another sci-fi fanstasy?  Check out the book Sight: The Far Sight Trilogy by K. Bly!

Our minds have unlocked a higher percentage of intellect and ability creating a new breed of "super humans" scientifically stated, Hyper-Homo Sapiens. We are stronger, smarter, quicker, and adaptable. And a good few of us, like me, have evolved to a point where we have tapped into extra sensory perception. But not everyone was this lucky. The "Stricken" suffered a severe morphing after they were exposed to toxins, and infected, creating physical deformities. A group of officials called the Liberty Counsel governs our civilization. Our military is reduced to two branches: The Force-who is mainly the police, and S.T.A.T.S. (Special Trained and Tactics Soldiers).

We are at desperate times. Reconstruction and enlightenment has brought us to the point where we can finally move on and accept what happened and not let it continue to destroy our spirits. The Leftovers are banned together in this broken society to continue the human legacy and save our race. Proving we are worthy of existing if possible, this is our challenge. Welcome to the life… of the Post-Apocalyptic Era.

From K.  Bly:  When I was younger, books were my escape. My family didn't have money, and my parents were also strict so I didn't get out much. Books took me to the places I could not go physically, and gave me an outlet for my overactive imagination. One thing I did notice however was the lack of African Americans in my favorite genres of books, especially women. Of course there are blacks that write and publish Sci Fi books, but none who are as notable as such figures as, JK Rowlings, Stephanie Myers, or Stephen King. These thoughts always plagued me. A couple years ago an idea of a post-apocalyptic story popped in to my mind, and I began to write. This sparked the fuel for my true passion and love of books. I have a degree in Behavior Analysis and work in the mental health field, but nothing brings me joy as writing did. I want to become a well known Sci Fi writer.  I want the next generation of black girl nerds to have someone to look up to. Last year I expanded my idea in to a book which is now published. I am a true nerd. I love superheroes and all things weird.
