To Mend a Jagged Spirit

Had Distressed Actor DA kept his emotions in check, had he not allowed his pains to get the better of him, had he realized that grieving for so long over a lost cause would terribly hurt his career, had he been professionally counseled early on -- perhaps DA wouldn’t be as miserable as he is now.

Maybe he would have leveled up at this point. Being one of the most talented among his batch, it was not a surprise that DA gained respectability as an artist and was given lead roles that reinforced the artist in him. However, DA’s brilliance seems to work only on professional level – not on matters of the heart – as it proved to be his biggest weakness.

When he lost The Girl TG of his life in the middle of his thriving career, DA lost himself, too. Slowly, he was losing his equilibrium. He disengaged himself from the world – preferring to self-destruct. Amid the bright opportunities any star can ever dream of, DA went on a self-imposed hiatus.

DA fell so madly and wrongly in love with TG that his world crumbled when he lost her.

There were several reasons for the split, one of them TG’s Elder EL who allegedly couldn’t seem to approve of DA for TG and would prefer someone more privileged. Others said that DA was on a controlled substance abuse. TG was powerless, no guts to go against the domineering EL who wanted her to make intelligent choices. Needless to say, EL prevailed. DA grieved.

Thus began the sad and losing streak of DA. Soon, he gave up on himself and everything around him. He felt useless, defeated - and acted like one. Until his handlers gave up on him, too. Alcohol became his bestfriend 24/7, further worsening his depression.

Months after, rumors were rife that DA’s condition became alarming such that he was allegedly seen roaming aimlessly with his guitar - unkempt, dirty and disheveled.

His very disheartened father FR could only do so much. There were reports that the seriousness of his condition made FR so helpless to turn him around. FR reportedly went to TG’s place and confronted and blamed her for the misery that befell DA.

Meanwhile, the latest from his camp was that DA was put in a rehabilitation center. It was the best that FR can do to keep DA's dignity. DA’s fans and followers are hoping that with their and his family’s love and collective prayers, DA would be able to bounce back and reclaim that big star that once belonged to him.
