As most of you probably already know that October is breast cancer awareness month. I realize with the way things are in the economy that sometimes it's hard to support our own families let alone donate our money towards charities. However, this one we can all get behind. A simple way to do your part in raising money for those who fight the ugliness that cancer reaps. This hits home with me as my aunt is currently fighting this battle. She is doing well though and on her way to finally saying she is a breast cancer survivor.
So how can you help?
Join the party this October with Estroven as they celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by inviting YOU and your girlfriends or guy friends to "Sleep Pink." Throw a pink-themed party or take a photo of you in your pink pajamas to help raise funds for breast cancer research.
Estroven is the wonderful company that will be donating the funds. Estroven is a safe multi-symptom menopause relief solution. Did you know there are 35 million women who have reached menopause? That is 1/3 of the total female population of the United States. Though breast cancer can strike at any time it triples from your 30s to 40s and then quintuples from your 40s to 50s. That means annually there is nearly 100,000 women between the ages of 45-64 who are diagnosed with breast cancer. Why is this so important to Estroven? These women often concurrently experience menopause. Estroven Nighttime helps reduce hot flashes and night sweats, plus the occasional sleeplessness.
This great company will make a $250 dollar donation to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for each pink party and $100 dollar donation for each pink pajama photo, once per household/party. Go here to enter your party or pajamas photo. Estroven's goal is to provide education while raising awareness of two important women's issues: menopause and breast cancer.
My daughter and I had a mommy and me nail party. Here are a few pictures of us with our pink nail polish, pink lemonade and pink pajamas and well toes too.
What are you waiting for?
Slip into your pjs and get your pink on! :)
