Special thanks to the Black Weblog Awards for recognizing BGN as the New Blogger on the Block! This blog was started in Feb 2012 and it just started with a simple idea. To blog about nerdy black girls like myself. After an evening of "Googling" the term "Black Girl Nerds" nothing came up.
That evening I started the blog and Amaya Radjani along with several other talented writers such as Shanna, Nikki, Terra, Truphena, Jeffrey, and Barbara have gave a voice to this blog that I couldn't do all on my own.
