A: I think your fashion, rather it's "black girl nerd" or any other style depends on you as an individual. As with any style you have the option of being cute or you can take it to another level and be sexy. But, whatever you choose, make sure it's a representation of who you are and not who you're pretending to be.
So, if you're a "black girl nerd"... embrace your geekyness and style yourself with some stereotypically "geek" wear, such as the must have nerd glasses. Whether you need them or not, choose a nice pair of dark-rimmed glasses that fit your face shape. By wearing glasses it can add to your nerdy flair.
COLOR, personally, I love color... I'm not your black, gray and white type of nerdette. Try wearing bright colors that may clash. Instead of regular denims, put on a bright blue or red pair. Don't just settle for the plain white Puma's, find a bright green pair and rock those.
Your hairstyle also plays a major role when it comes to having nerd swag. Don't just throw your hair up in a ponytail, rock some Princess Leia buns. Pull your hair up in a side ponytail... heck, while you're at it... bring back the bags from the 80s. It's all about you and what you like.
Finally, I would say, go easy on the make-up. Keep it all natural. If you wear make-up, very light foundation and face powder with a little lip gloss, eyeliner and maybe mascara.
