Spider Stories - New Fantasy in Development
Press Release--
Project Summary: We are developing an 11 minute pilot for what will be a full length animated series. To get the project off the ground we need $25,000 in pledges from Kickstarter. The story follows a fearless Princess whose kingdom is overthrown by invaders, forcing her into hiding. She goes on a quest to restore her rightful throne with the help of ancient spirits, a mystical yet comical guide, and a misfit crew of merchants, craftsmen, and soldiers. It is an epic fantasy adventure with a unique cultural twist. Instead of being based in medieval Europe, Asia, or the far future, it is set in a fantasy world based off of Africa.
Synopsis: In those days there existed an alliance between Five Nations. The Head of these nations was protected by a guardian Spirit, passed down from generation to generation, to guide each monarch as they came of age. However, a sudden attack has forced a young princess to flee before her inheritance rites were ever fulfilled. With her disappearance, the guiding light that once filled these lands with warmth has faded. But the fearless Princess Zahara would not have her story end here. Now she travels with a misfit crew of merchants and a wayward griot with a magic drum, preparing to inherit the power of the Spirits and reclaim her lost kingdom.
