Meet Dr. Misee Harris. Dr. Misee Harris is a dentist turned model/actress from Columbia, Tennesee. She is vying for the attention of Mr. Right and the American Broadcasting Company (otherwise known as ABC). She is seeking the consideration of ABC to select her as the next contestant on The Bachelorette. I personally don't watch a lot of reality television and I'm not familiar with this program. However, when I found out that The Bachelorette has NEVER had a black female contestant I was utterly shocked and appalled. How could this be? This is obviously a MAJOR oversight and hopefully ABC will pay attention to this detail and look to DOCTOR, yes I said Dr. Misee for our next Bachelorette!
I tweeted Misee on Twitter and she is not only a fan of the BGN blog, but she is a self-declared Black Girl Nerd. Therefore, I believe it is our duty as fellow BGNs to support and campaign for Misee to become our next Bachelorette. It would be lovely to see a nerdy black girl be the center of attention towards incredibly gorgeous men competing for her affection.
As it is listed on her personal site, she is very loving, caring, intelligent and beautiful and has a strong passion for mentoring today’s youth and serving those in need. Fashion, art, and dentistry are her passions. She puts 100% into every endeavor that she has set out to do and welcomes the new opportunities that have come into her life. Whether it be dentistry, styling, modeling or acting, she knows that the keys to success is determination and God. She goes by the motto… Pray hard and fear nothing!
