Current Loves: August Favorites

I don't know what it is but I have been watching the GSN all the time. I like to watch chain reaction and catch 21 but mostly I watch Family Feud. Anyone else out there watch the game show network or is that just me. haha!

I am so so so ready for fall. It hasn't even been hot here. I mean it has been hot but for the past two Summer's we had 100+ temps for several days in a roll. We haven't even had but maybe one or two days this Summer with those kind of temperatures. Despite it not being a hot Summer I'm just ready for a change of atmosphere. I want to see some fall colors and décor. I am so tempted to drag out my fall decorations but I'm trying my hardest to wait till at least mid September. ;)

Katy Perry: Roar

It has been a busy month so it has been slow pinning again this month. However, this is one of my favorite pins this month. I love this idea for a note/list board.

I have read two books that I really enjoyed this past month, On the Island and My Life Next Door.

"Anna Emerson is a thirty-year-old English teacher desperately in need of adventure. Worn down by the cold Chicago winters and a relationship that’s going nowhere, she jumps at the chance to spend the summer on a tropical island tutoring sixteen-year-old T.J.

T.J. Callahan has no desire to go anywhere. His cancer is in remission and he wants to get back to his normal life. But his parents are insisting he spend the summer in the Maldives catching up on all the school he missed last year.

Anna and T.J. board a private plane headed to the Callahan’s summer home, and as they fly over the Maldives’ twelve hundred islands, the unthinkable happens. Their plane crashes in shark-infested waters. They make it to shore, but soon discover that they’re stranded on an uninhabited island.

At first, their only thought is survival. But as the days turn to weeks, and then months, the castaways encounter plenty of other obstacles, including violent tropical storms, the many dangers lurking in the sea, and the possibility that T.J.’s cancer could return. As T.J. celebrates yet another birthday on the island, Anna begins to wonder if the biggest challenge of all might be living with a boy who is gradually becoming a man."

"A gorgeous debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another

“One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time.”

The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A dreamy summer read, full of characters who stay with you long after the story is over."

What are some of your current loves?

**I again didn't post current loves for wearing this month. It is still all the same capri's and tank tops mostly. This is just another reason I'm ready for fall.**
