Junking the Hunk for Her Real Man

When Hunk Performer (HP) publicly professed his interest in Secretive Actress (SA), some were glad, while others were skeptical over his intention. The fact that both were not involved in any project should have lessened the cynicism, but it did not. While SA was flattered, she turned down the idea. This move came as a surprise as HP is one of the most attractive actors around.

Why did the public and the network not bite this idea?

First, HP has to find a way to detach himself from the rumors hounding his sexual preference. Besides, he has been linked to several women in the past months, but none seemed to have gone beyond the linking. Second, SA needs to keep an image of desirability. It seems that her network is building her to be more daring than her peers. Therefore, having HP exclusively would ruin this image.

Third, there seems to be more to these reasons. Allegedly, SA is really involved with Dancer Actor (DA), who is one the homegrown talents of the network. The pronouncement of HP, which still generated much interest, would divert attention from DA and SA.

People who are privy to this information are afraid that SA might be repeating what she did a few years ago. She hid her relationship to keep her image immaculate. Although he might not be as popular as HP or any of the other hunks in the network, DA is an accomplished talent and has had his share of relationships with other actresses. Now, some are hoping that DA will make his move, and come out into the open with his relationship with SA. Will he?
