As we prepare to move into the fourth quarter of the financial year and begin our wardrobe rotation due to the changing of seasons, we should also remember to take some time out of our days and nights to breathe, celebrate who we are, and think about where we are going. I’ve found that the easiest and most relaxing place to do all of this is in a tub full of hot water with candles and the soothing voice of Nigerian born beauty Helen Folasade Adu in the background. Being that I’m ½ of the Mi-Me Crew, an ordinary bath wouldn’t do this tip justice, so I decided to take a page from the book of Japanese women everywhere and add some sake to my bath. Adding about 2 - 3 cups of sake to your bath water will allow the Kojic acid in the sake to exfoliate the skin, lighten age spots and other discoloration, and give your skin a beautiful glow. I hope that your time alone to reflect will leave your mind feeling as positive, healthy, and amazing as your skin.
