Tactical Response of Perceptive Manager

Moving to a new station is always a big risk for any actor. Over the years, only a number of actors have made the successful transfer. Still, only a few among them have sustained their career since their move. Thus, managers and actors are now wiser based on what they have learned from the experience of these performers.

Banking on the Phenomenal rise to fame of beaming actor (BA) in only a few months, seasoned manager (SM) is making sure that he does everything to protect the rise of BA. BA first appeared in a reality show, where he was immediately noticed because of his looks. However, his stint did not last long enough. Then, he appeared in a movie, but the presence of other more popular hunks did not add any prestige to BA’s career. Finally, his home network gave him a break in a hit teleserye. BA had an offbeat role that was significant because of the twist, but the role again relegated him to supporting cast.

Early this year, SM announced that he was now handling the career of BA. The news opened the speculation that SM was going to transfer BA to the other network even if his teleserye was still enjoying a very good run. This announcement and movement raised a lot of eyebrows. Some even said that this move will not really do much for the career of BA. As the current year ends, his appearance in a differently themed teleserye has propelled BA into a household name.

With sudden fame comes careful handling. With this in mind, SM is closely monitoring the appearances of BA. In one incident, BA was scheduled to do a provincial show. When SM found out it was only BA who had the “star power” in the show, he immediately pulled him out. BA was supposed to be with the not so popular talents of the rival network. Perhaps, SM did not want these performers of lesser names to ride on the coattails of his now highly prized BA.

“Talent is the multiplier. The more energy and attention you invest in it, the greater the yield. The time you spend with your best is, quite simply, your most productive time.” ― Marcus Buckingham
