All of our lives there has always been a huge focus on putting our best foot forward, but since we've always danced to the beat of our own drum; we felt it was high time we changed things up and put our best face forward, with our feet not too far behind of course. One of the easiest ways to put your best face forward is to make sure that your face is clean, clear, smooth, and blemish free; all of which can be achieved with the help of this week's Yogurt & Honey Cleansing method.
Warm up 2-3 Tbsp of non flavored honey in the microwave or in a warm water bath so that it mixes more easily with the yogurt (please make sure to it's not hot, because it can burn your skin). In a bowl mix the honey with 1/2 cup of plain Greek Yogurt, and for those with oily skin, feel free to add a Tsp of lemon juice to your mixture, it will help absorb any excess oil. With clean hands apply the mixture to a clean face, neck, and decolletage. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, rinse off with warm water, lightly pat dry, and follow with a moisturizer of your choice (repeat 2x a week).
The honey will help protect your skin from sun damage, help treat acne, fight pimples, act as a moisturizer, and soak up impurities from your pores; while the yogurt's countless vitamins and nutrients (zinc, calcium, vitamin B1,B2, B6, B12, to name a few) do well to renew cells, reduce discoloration, and kill impurities that lead to breakouts. All in all the combination of the plain yogurt and unflavored honey will lead to a happy, healthy, youthful looking face!
**For those w/ sensitive skin patch testing on your wrist or behind your ear and waiting at least an hour before proceeding is certainly recommended**
