Looking Gross and Undaunted

It used to be that Model Wannabe MW was the epitome of decency and professionalism. Celebrities, politicians, photographers, and the like went to her whenever they needed her fashion expertise. Those were the years when the unassuming MW was content staying in the background and letting her work shine and speak for her. She was quiet, low-profile and pleasant.

But through the years, after a few and much-talked about relationships with high-profile figures, observers say that the feeling of being in the limelight with celebrities had rubbed off on MW - including being bitten by the star complex.

Of late, if angry words can kill, MW will never see the light of day. For so long, there had been a number of mean and negative stories attributed to MW and her alleged unprofessionalism. These stories range from the mundane to the most blatant coming from people who allegedly had personal encounters with her.

Recently, MW was contracted for her services for an upcoming project – a food television commercial TVC with a Veteran Actress VA and her family as endorsers. VA reportedly handpicked MW to do the job for her.

Before MW signed the contract with the company, she suggested that her friends be hired, too, to do the hair and make-up of VA and family. MW justified that she works with her friends as a team. The company reportedly could not say no to the request in deference to VA who was so professional and who charged a very reasonable talent fee for her and family.

Thus, MW signed the contract that specified her hefty fee for a one-day shoot. However, on learning that the shoot would have 2 storyboards, MW asked that she be paid double the amount. The production team was stumped. And to MW's dismay, the company put its foot down this time, saying that the amount in the contract covered 2 storyboards.

As with her previous projects, the tvc shoot with VA went and finished with MW hardly doing anything –- except, well, touched VA's collar.

Professionalism: It's NOT the job you DO, It's HOW you DO the job.”
