BGN Girl: Erica Mann

As a proud Blerd, Erica is 20 (6 months shy of 21) and is pursuing her B.A. in Film Studies & Production and minoring in P.R. and Mass Media. She currently resides in New York and is enjoying her last month of her sophomore year of college. She hopes to one day pursue either a career in film management/ marketing, social media management, or be a personal taste tester for Ben and Jerrys. Erica’s nerdiness became prevalent when the Lord of the Rings franchise began when she was a doe-eyed 10 year old and she started having dreams of moving to New Zealand, learning elvish, and rocking pointy elf ears.

Since, then she has pursued other interests, but still maintains her full-time Blerd membership. With a passion for film Erica can be found tweeting 24/7 (@TheNYCFilmChick) about anything and everything. Never ever ask her what her favorite film is, because she would not give you a straight answer. She has a great appreciation for a number of movies and choosing one would be a challenge. As of now, her current obsessions range from the steak burrito bowl at Chipotle to the drug-like addiction that is the show Scandal.

When she’s not in school and interning in Manhattan, Erica is either in Connecticut hanging with her family or down in Florida with her parents and Springer Spaniel. With a hunger for success and a passion for life, Erica is excited for her future.
